LancasterChorale celebrates the 300th anniversary of one of J.S. Bach’s most performed vocal works. Composed in 1723, Magnificat BWV 243 is a joyful multi-movement biblical canticle for choir, soloists, and baroque orchestra. G.F Handel, Bach’s celebrated contemporary in England, composed four thrilling anthems for choir and orchestra in 1727 for the coronation of King George II. LancasterChorale will perform the exuberant Zadok the Priest, Let Thy Right Hand be Strengthened, and The King Shall Rejoice from this set of four!

Soloists:
Karen Cook, soprano
Elizabeth McConnaughey, soprano
Anna Murcko, mezzo soprano
Matthew Pittman, tenor
Jacob Conrad, bass
